Chocolate Almond Biscotti
i wouldnt say my attempt was a complete success, since the biscotti actually developed really large cracks after the 1st bake. and when i sliced them afterwards, most of them crumbled into a million pieces :( out of the whole log, i only managed to salvage abt 6 slices so i used them to take photos. very precious indeed! i'm not sure what i did wrong. i baked them for like 35 mins so i'm quite sure i did not underbake them, tho' i must say the insides felt really cake-like and soft. or it might be the double acting baking powder i used? not really sure. but nevertheless they turned out quite good. not too sweet and very chocolatey. i also love the little specks coz i used almond slivers instead of whole blanched almonds, and they're really great with a cuppa coffee. i had these with my favorite movenpick espresso =) below will be my adaptation.
